I don't know what to think?

I've been with the same guy for 18 yrs. We started out like FWB kinda thing while he was married for the 1st. 13 yrs. Then he got devoriced. And I've been patient, I told him I don't want our relationship to be this way anymore. Things haven't changed at all. I don't know what to think about this. I told him I want to go out & do things together, He says why ruin a good thing. What is that suposed to mean?
