How can i cope with unsupportive haitian parents?

I want to be in the music industry some day, and i have a deep pion for music, and i want to be a cellist also, but i can't afford a cello. I also, want to produce my own music. Some people say that i can start by attending performing arts schools or singing in local events but with unsupportive, strict, fresh- from- the boat haitian parents i feel as if my dreams would never come true. They want to me to be in the medical field such as a doctor or some other crap i have no interest in. How can i influence them especially my dad, into supporting me with what i want to do in my life? Some lucky kids are blessed with supporting parents who sacrifice every inch of time for them! That's just not fair!
